I have this ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C30D6&REV_1000 HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5051&SUBSYS_103C30D6 I search through the net and I cannot find a solution. Realtek drivers wouldn't work on conexant soundcard. i dunno....i just really dont want to send it in for repair or call hp and talk to s/o that i cant even understand. My driver is of the CHDART.sys 4.26 series (so not compatible with SP1). Je ne peut pas le tester car je n'ai plus de WIFI chez moi actuellement. How does HP install software and gather data?

I already installed UAA. The microphone is also working.   Every notebook uses a custom Audio driver.  Forcibly installing a driver intended for a different notebook most likely will not work or if it does So it may be a case of your driver being in the Windows Catalog already, but not on WU. It did work at first though.

Thanks   My mistake.  I have been looking at DEV_5045 devices and did not catch that your's is DEV_5047.  The most recent version of this driver is v3.40.0.50.  This is available Download with DriverMax. With the different devices, they can have the same driver , it's because they all use the same chip manufacturer.
