Bottom of It is the Conexant High Definition Audio device.
I had the same problem and I follow your instruction, but unfortunately it didn´t work. then i tried XP driver for the dame HDA Device and it worked. But when I tried instaling the drivers, I got an error message saying 'Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.' Do you, or does anyone, have All rights reserved. Do you have any other idea? It is very similar to another thread i read on the internet, and might actually be in this thread.
Dell did it, and got flamed for it.
